God Bless all Brother Knights & their families, especially those who are ill. Pray for those Brother Knights who have passed away, especially for their families. May God give them much strength
Council 872 works closely with the local parishes in our area, The Immaculate Conception Parish located in Clarksburg, St. James Parish located in the North View section of Clarksburg, Our Lady of Perpetual Help located in Stonewood, St. Ann's in Shinnston, Sacred Heart in Salem and All Saints Parish in Bridgeport, providing funds for various projects, members being active participants in their parish.
Council Meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:30pm at the Robert J. Petitto Hall located at 334 E. Pike Street, Clarksburg, WV.
Our Lady Of Peace Assembly 1184 meets or the 3rd Monday of each Month beginning with Dinner gathering at Raymon's at 6:00pm with the meeting following in the Hall at 7:30pm

As the new Fraternal years begins I would like to ask all members of council # 872 to try to attend
at least 1 meeting this year. You may find yourself attending more and becoming active.
Several newsletters ago I submitted an article called " The 24 hour Knight " If you have 24 hours in a year to devote to our council you are considered active. Some examples are to attend the family picnic. Attend one of the many dinners we have at the council home. Volunteer for one of the youth programs or for one of the activities we provide for the Veteran population at the VA Medical Center. Read the Columbia magazine and surf the council's web-site. Spend a few hours helping with the Tootsie Roll Drive that supports the mentally challenged and the West Virginia special Olympics. There are many ways to get involved with the council and these are just a few ways that you can help. Hope to see you at a meeting or council activity.

Prayer for the Canonization of Father Michael J. McGivney
God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body, which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify your servant Father Michael J. McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (here make your request). Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.
